DCEU - Thaal Sinestro: Idris Elba

Thaal Sinestro [Height: 6' 7", Age: 40's]: Thaal Sinestro of the planet Korugar in Sector 1417 is an intergalactic super-villain and antagonist of Green Lantern. Originally known as the greatest member of the Green Lantern Corps ever to wield a ring, he trained many students including Hal Jordan. The Guardians of the Universe exiled him to the Antimatter Universe after learning he had used his power to set up a dictatorship. Having fought the Green Lanterns for many years with a yellow ring forged by the Weaponers of Qward, he established his own Sinestro Corps to spread fear throughout the universe.

Idris Elba [Height: 6' 3", Age: 43,  Notable Works: Prometheus, Pacific Rim, Marvel Cinematic Universe]: Yeah I get it, he's a MCU actor and this make little sense because of that. But many actors of each side have switched and it's rumored he doesn't have much longer to go in Marvel so I decided to pick a role for him on the DC Side {he was in a DC/Vertigo Movie "The Losers" after all}. He's a strong actor and I've gotten so damn tired of seeing him as John Stewart but I'll agree he actually does belong in a Lantern Movie. He's got a strength to him and he's great at playing sinister people. Also Sinestro is always cast in a certain way and he's not my only choice but he's a great choice. He's got size, presence, and manners. He really could be perfect as Sinestro and could really do something new and something unique with the role. He's a strong actor and does a wonderful job in his roles and really brings those characters to life.  If they need a Jump start for a 2020 Green Lantern movie, he'd be an absolute perfect choice for Sinestro. He could really bring that air of British Gentlemanly quality to Sinestro that fans associate to him and Idris is certainly someone who can bring that in spades. He's be a Perfect Sinestro. Not too mention, after his appearance in the New Star Trek Beyond Trailer, it shows he can be a good bad guy.
